Learning Outcome 2
I think having quotes in your paper is very important because they are the base to your writing that can help brainstorm ideas to back up your overall claim. They are also essential is backing up your points from a reliable source that makes it stronger and sound more reliable. The process for integrating a quote into your is introducing it, putting in it, and then analyzing it. As highlighted in yellow that is the process I have done for my paper when I talked about how Lin Jami Nakamura feel like her identity is defined by her race in life. I go further into detail by saying her being discriminated for her race and name is a major problem in the world, but she realized that her past ancestors had to change their names due to disclination. In the end her name even though she imposed by her name it will help her overcome her lost identity as a person in life. My method for my analysis after the quote is usually my interpretation of the quote and how I believe it goes along with the claim for the paper. I believe that by having a strong analysis following a quote makes helps your paper because you are showing that you understand the quote and how it relates to the paper as a whole.
